The Great Commission

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19 & 20 (ESV)

"The nations are not gathered in automatically. . . the earth's families will be blessed only if we go to them with the gospel." John R. W. Stott (from an address given at Urbana 76)

About Phee Paradise

I’m blessed to be a missionary kid from Guatemala. I haven’t been there in 45 years, but it still holds part of my heart. More importantly, being an MK means that missions is in my blood. The three generations before me all served God on the mission field and some of my siblings and a niece have also answered God’s call to foreign missions - a fourth and a fifth generation. I'm not one of them, but Jesus gave the Great Commission to all His followers, even me. This blog is a way for me to use the writing skills He’s given me to share in His mission.

I love to share my missionary experience in my writing. In Miracles at Midnight, I edited my father’s stories about his years in Guatemala where he saw God change lives for the Kingdom. My latest book, A Sincere Heart, is a biography of my grandfather who was a missionary in China. And now I’m excited to start working on a book about my mother, both a missionary kid and a missionary.

My husband and I live in sunny Florida, which is as close to the tropics as I can get for now, and I’m blessed with two kids and two grandkids. I love reading and gardening when I'm not teaching public speaking at a community college. It’s challenging and rewarding, but an even more important mission is to teach God’s truths to children in Sunday School. My prayer is that in everything I do, God will use me to further his Kingdom and bring glory to His Name.
